I first met David Moulton in 1983. He was the Professor of Sound Recording Technology at SUNY Fredonia and I was a freshman. Forty years later, Fredonia SRT alumni look back with great pride having learned from this remarkable educator. Dave’s writing continues to enlighten and inspire me.
When I discovered that Moulton Labs archives were no longer available, I decided to host his articles on my website. I think everyone can benefit from his approach to technical subjects and his deep respect for differing opinions.
The first article is a fun story that Dave wrote about my home studio for Recording Magazine. Dave captured my vision and the peculiarities of my home studio in upstate NY.
I hope these articles inspire you to think and re-think about what you know about audio.
